Hey,
If you see one of the idiot 'I had this problem too and I solved it by going to crappy website at http/imanidiot.com ' type posts,
report it
use the keyword 'spam' as the reason
and the post will be deleted if your account has more than some N posts (not sure what N is).
the post must have a link in it or it won't be deleted, as best I can tell.
Ive removed like 10 of them today. And there are a couple that are reported but not removed.
> report it
> use 'spam' as the reason
> has more than some N posts
> the post must have a link in it
> and the post will be deleted
quite the ritual, i say
Not the ingenious PSA. It is a forgettable procedure. But thank you, for long I have desired to possess the ability to produce a creative Public Service Announcement script.
Transcript 27/03/2020 4th Version "Usurpation"
*Blurry footage of active forum but the domain name is discernible, clearly a forum*
*Posts are coming in at a very rapid rate*
*Audience presumes footage is blurry to censor the identity of the forum*
[PASS 5 SECONDS]
*Obscured view becomes clearer*
*It is clear the surge of posts are spam, one distinguishable message appears and reads*
*Delete spam forthwith*
*Another akin*
*Before you can't*
Is there any point to a coherent report message?
All I do is some quick rattle "dggd" across the middle of the keyboard and press submit.
It isn't worth any more effort.
The idea I suppose was for admins like the site owner to look at the reports and decide for themselves when the report was not against a new account and such. But since no one looks at it 🤷♀️
